Things Needed For Horse Race Like Pikeur Jacket

By Essie Osborn

There are a lot of sports now which involves different kinds of animals. One of which is the horse back riding. Although this is really a very fun to watch sport, there are things that are highly needed before you can get into it. For girls, pikeur jacket is very much needed to observe proper attire. And of course, one of the most obvious and a major needed would be your own horse.

Horses are a bit like humans as well. They really want to be well taken cared of by the people who make use of them in any ways. What they need is a friend. Although you will be commanding them, you still have to reduce making them feel like they really have to follow you.

Before going out for a bond, check the condition of the animal. First, check his top part and see if there is anything that needs immediate attention. You need to do the same all the way down to the very last part of him. If ever you see something unusual, be sure that you attend to them immediately as it may result to something worse.

If you find nothing wrong with him, you can already start grooming him. Use both hard brush and soft one for the mane and tail. Use the hard one first followed by the second. This is to help maintain the smooth look of it. Gently do everything to avoid hurting the animal.

Next would be the bridle and saddle. You first have to get your tack and put the saddle blanket on him. For you to be able to know that the saddle fits perfectly, you need to tighten its girth. Then put the reins on his head and the bin in his mouth. In case he will toss his head up, call someone taller than you to help you out. Checking the straps is very much needed for safety before you lead them to your riding area.

Recheck the girth. Some of them really loves puffing out their chest by the time you place the girth on. You need to roll down the stirrups. Each stirrup has to be as long as your arm. Then you have to mount your horse.

Join your horse on his exercise. To be able to keep him in shape, you can take a ride on him. If you want to stroll with him for long, all you need to make sure is that you give him enough rest in between. Also give him some water and a short break.

Note that giving them too much liquid will make them sick. Hose them off if they are wet and make sure that the temperature reaches above 52 degrees Fahrenheit. To take off excess water, only use a sweat scraper. Most horses are actually afraid of the hose, in that case, you may use a wet sponge instead.

Keeping their stalls neat is of course part of their hygiene. You need to be certain that it is dry. That is needed because when it is wet, it can cause smelly odor which will be really hard to take off. Also give them the right amount of water in a clean bucket.
