Which Treatment is Best for Wrinkles?

By Therese Goodwint

Unfortunately, we all get some wrinkles as we age, and we all find this rather unpleasant. Wrinkles tend to bring sadness because of the way society looks at those who are older, and values youth so much. A lot of factors contribute towards the formation of wrinkles and stress, pollution, demands of the fast paced modern life all plays an important part.

The advancement of cosmetic science and technology has been welcome news for men and women who refuse to grow old. Injectable solutions such as fillers can have meaningful effects on those who would like some rejuvenation, and these are readily available.

There is no lack of choice for techniques in today's market for those who want a more youthful appearance. Both men and women are choosing injectable procedures and fillers increasingly, and which one a person goes with depends on their specific issues. A filler and an injectable treatment are not the same thing, there are notable differences.

In order to decide what is right for you, it's good to have knowledge about how they differ. Injectables that are most well-known are Restylane and Botox treatments. These are injected into the skin and they numb the specific area. The numbed area will flex and that muscular action will contribute to making wrinkles less prevalent. It's only a few minutes long for treatment, much quicker than most expect. Immediately, the benefits of the injection can be seen, and for four to six months, they will be noticeable. Some slight pain will happen for a brief moment during the procedure that used ultra fine needles, and no anesthesia is needed.

Botox is the most popular choice when it comes to injectables. It is a purified protein that works wonders to reduce or completely eliminates crow's feet, frown lines, creases in the forehead and even the deep creases of the neck. However, as Botox works by numbing the muscle sensation of a particular area, the lines reappear with regular activity in the area. The procedure is completely safe.

Another good way to treat deeper creases is to use Restylane. It is a gel like formula that is injected in the dermis layers of the skin and the results received are excellent. The most prominent ingredient in Restylane is hyaluronic acid, and this is a natural substance inside people's bodies. Frown and laugh lines, deeper neck creases, and crow's feet are areas that this product is effective to treat.

The most sensible solution to increase lip size is by the use of a dermal filler. The results achieved are excellent, though they are temporary and will involve regular maintenance.

A minor side effect from treatment will be slight swelling and redness, but hours later they go away and any bruising will be gone in several days time. When the treatment is over, you can go back to your day without missing a beat, as these take no time to recover. The cost of the treatment will depend upon a number of factors, though both the processes are temporary and maintenance is recommended every 4-6 months.
